This year is my first at Issaquah Montessori. I've enjoyed working with children in Montessori environments at both primary and lower-elementary levels for more than twenty years. During that time I acquired National Center for Montessori Education certification at the 3–6 and 6–9 levels as well as an M.Ed. from the University of Washington. Currently I'm fulfilling the internship requirement for the Course for Montessori School Management from CMTE/NY (American Montessori Society).

I believe that learning should be fun—and teaching as well. Montessori allows the delight of discovery and creative collaboration between peers—two of my favorite ways of learning. My new role is less of a change and more of an expansion: I now support not only a group of children but also a dedicated staff.

I live in Sammamish with my husband, Dail. In my free time I enjoy travelling, visiting museums and fiber arts.
